Duck time sketches...

This is what happens when I spend time in the company of ducks. Had a long weekend away in Pennsylvania. The house we rented had a team of ducks wandering around the property. Just my luck.  Or providence , if you like.

Postcard from my first trip to Paris. Found this in a drawer. I drew the rather large mouse. Used to love drawing on post cards. It was an inspired moment!

 Finally got to sketch while waiting for my inspection sticker. The morning show on the television was the other option. What was on you might ask. I had to hear it. Got the weather. Listened to Iggy sing Fancy more than I needed to.

This is a drawing I did in  the brushes app. It exists in my phone. No sketchbook paper or real ink. This time I just forgot my sketchbook which I prefer. The best sketchbook is the one with you.

Here's my drawing. We were playing pictionary. Ever get this word? Boomslang: a large African tree snake that is highly poisonous.

So, I finally made it back to Florida. Hadn't been there since I was 2 or 3 years old.

This time I had my sketchbook. Tried my hand at drawing a palm tree.

Mr. Tumnus sketch

In my newest sketchbook I sketched this Mr. Tumnus. In December for theTumblr 30 day challenge I posted a color rendition with a photoshop treatment. It's still there. If you want to see it there is a Tumblr button over on the right here...

Snow on the way? Looks like long lines at the deli counter. No matter what people will have this need to stock up on whatever cold cuts and bread they can get their hands on. Few days later it is like why are there so many cold cuts still in the fridge? There are some things you can't change...the weather and your relatives.

I often sketch when I have to sit in one place for a long time. Here is one from a Sunday on a cold January morning. Must not have been snowy enough for winter foot gear.

 I have a bunch of sketches form last year that I am adding.  I listened to some people talk so I sketched them while I listened. I got a new version of brushes on my phone. So these are from the old ipod which has an older version of brushes. Now I have to try out the new brushes later on.
